Marijuana Tourism Comes to Colorado as Recreational Pot Goes Legal

Cannabis Connoisseurs Planning Vacations Around Legal Denver Weed Shops

Colorado company The Canna Concierge is one of the first to take the leap into the world of marijuana tourism, offering three-night packages in Denver as part of the Mile High Winter Break, January 17-20, 2014.  The travel packages aim to attract out-of-state visitors eager to be a part of history and among the first to legally purchase and enjoy marijuana and cannabis products in Colorado.

In addition to lodging and accommodations, those attending Mile High Winter Break will be treated to a kick-off party, $100 gift card (dubbed the CannaCard) valid at participating dispensaries, happy hours, complimentary gift bag, nightly entertainment and more.  Optional day trips include a ski/snowboard outing and a tour of area breweries.

With the passage of Amendment 64, Colorado became the first state in the U.S. to legalize recreational marijuana for adults and to also provide a retail system for cannabis sales.  Laws take effect January 1, 2014 and will undoubtedly attract marijuana enthusiasts eager to sample some of the best cannabis in the country.  Denver alone is expected to have more than 100 recreational dispensaries opening next year.  Prices at dispensaries vary considerably so be sure to visit this site to find the best cannabis deals.

The Canna Concierge’s events manager Shane O’Brien said “We’re excited to offer full experience packages to fellow cannabis connoisseurs who want to legally enjoy marijuana.  All of our attendees will be experiencing legal, recreational weed shopping for the first time in U.S. history.  It will be like a kid walking into a candy store and we’re proud to be a part in providing that experience.”

The 4-day event is sponsored by and Grassroots California.  Packages, including accommodations, start at $495/person.  More information can be found at
